These are the most asked questions and concerns about Lockdown:

  • I use Windows Vista and the program isn't working. The way to fix this is by right clicking on the .exe or shortcut and choose 'Run as Admin' option. This should fix the problems.
  • Why does Lockdown take so long to close? When you choose to exit Lockdown, it still has a few commands it must execute. These include sending information to Lockdown's server to let it know the state of your protection. Mostly, the program is closed when you hit Exit, just the icon in the system tray stays there. Just let it do its work and try to forget its there.
  • How do I remotely lock down my computer? Go to our website (www.HuellaSoft.com) and click on the Lockdown page (www.HuellaSoft.com/lockdown.htm). There, you will see a link that allows you to Log In to the service. When you log in with your username and password, you will come to a page that tells you that your computer is now locked down. At that moment, your system will have locked down.
  • I forgot my password. What do I do? There is a link next to the password area when in lockdown where you can get your password hint. If this still doesn't work, contact HuellaSoft and we will help you retrieve your password.
