DID YOU KNOW?
The definition of a monopoly states: "A situation in which a single company owns all or nearly all of the market for a given type of product or service" (investorwords.com). So what other companies, other than a 'fruity' one we won't speak of, lets you listen to and edit the files on your iPod? The amount of legal companies also supplying this service is a little more than negative one and a little smaller than one. That's right... zero... nill... Did you also know that Apple recently said this: "Apple is aware that some third-parties claim that their digital media players are able to sync with Apple software. However, Apple does not provide support for, or test for compatibility with, non-Apple digital media players and, because software changes over time, newer versions of Apple's iTunes software may no longer provide syncing functionality with non-Apple digital media players." That statement was released after the Palm Pre stated it had the ability of syncing one's Palm Pre to their iTunes... Monopoly?
