Who We Are
We are HuellaSoft. HuellaSoft is a company that creates software
for your computer to help you out in every day life. How? While we are
using our own computers, we may come across boundaries that aren't able to
be crossed with the certain programs that are out on the market today,
such as Microsoft software, and we feel the need to create something that
will help every person that also feels these roadblocks, succeed.
How We Began
In early 2001, the company Idiodine was formed. Its main goal was
to create a Peer to Peer file sharing program to help its users share .mp3
files over the internet. In those early days, Napster was finally dying
out due to the government cracking down and so Idiodine was formed to keep
the mp3 sharing alive. Soon however, after running into numerous problems,
Idiodine switched its focus from creating illegal file sharing software to
creating legal software. Its first program was an mp3 player it called
iMp3. Soon thereafter, numerous other programs sprouted up, such as iPad
(a text editor) and iCalendar, currently the most popular program
that HuellaSoft creates. Idiodine soon realized that it had found its
niche in the programming world and began to evolve into a new, more
professional company. The result of this evolution period was the
company's decision to start from a new slate and change its name to
HuellaSoft. The Spanish word 'Huella' translates to 'footprint' in
English, and so even though Idiodine reformed itself, its 'footprint'
still exists in HuellaSoft.
